Missoula Art Museum commissioned Brian Maguire to create the exhibition Outrage: Missing and Murdered Indigenous People in Montana, which opened in 2025. Across a five-year process, Brian connected with families and worked with advocates like Cheryl Horn, a member of the Nakoda Aaniiih and a citizen of the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation, to create art that would honor both the disappeared and their families.

Join the artist and Cheryl Horn in conversation, led by Irish Times journalist Gemma Tipton, about the process of engagement Maguire undertook, the effect on the families involved, and the artist’s responsibilities where there is a potent promise of celebration and awareness, springing from a place of memory and grief.
