Dublin Gallery Weekend

Dublin Gallery Weekend returns for its second year with an ambitious international programme of contemporary art exhibitions and events taking place across the city. From Thursday 7th – Sunday 10th November, Dublin’s eleven leading commercial galleries will present exhibitions by renowned Irish and international artists.

A varied and packed schedule of events will keep visitors engaged all weekend, while for the first time, visitors will also have the chance to see a showpiece central exhibition representing all eleven member galleries of the Contemporary Art Gallery Association. Following last year’s sold-out event, Sean Rainbird, former director of the National Gallery of Ireland, will once again gather together a panel of national and global experts in a day-long conference of talks with the theme of realising the potential of the Irish visual arts sector.

Inspired by the success of similar gallery weekend events in cities including Berlin and London, Dublin Gallery Weekend 2024 will build on the inaugural edition in 2023 and consolidate its position as an exciting new fixture on the national visual arts calendar and a unique showcase of the Irish art scene.

Dublin Gallery Weekend is the flagship initiative of the Contemporary Art Gallery Association, a group of ten of Ireland’s leading commercial art galleries. In 2024, Dublin Gallery Weekend partnered with IPUT Real Estate to deliver a programme of events across the city, including events in galleries and offsite at two iconic new IPUT buildings.
